Hello! My name is Orlaith de Búrca and I’m the founder and designer behind DeBúrca. I’m an illustrator and designer based in Limerick, Ireland with a particular grá for Gaeilge (and Éire in general)
Founded in the summer of 2020 by Orlaith, a Gaeilgeoir, DeBúrca is an Irish apparel and accessories brand naturally with Gaeilge in its croí and Irish culture as its inspiration. The brand celebrates a new wave of Irish identity and reflects the ongoing cultural revival in Ireland.
Since its launch, DeBúrca’s designs have struck a chord not only in Ireland but with Irish communities everywhere. Now being worn by thousands of people in every corner of the world, the brand aims to be a statement of connection and culture, and most importantly, to spread the Irish language.
